All of our mailboxes and posts are in compliance with US government and Postal Service regulations. The US Postal Service has general regulations concerning the placement of mailboxes and mailbox posts. Please use the following link for more information for placement of your mailbox http://www.usps.com/communications/newsroom/localnews/tn/tn_2008_0826_DR.htm Because of varying road and curb conditions and other factors, the Postal Service recommends that customers contact the postmaster or carrier before erecting or replacing their mailboxes and supports.

Are all of you mailboxes made in the USA?

USMadeMailboxes offers an extensive line of mailboxes manufactured in the USA.  It is noted on each the product page if the mailbox is “made in the USA”.  If the product page does not specify "Made in the USA" the mailbox is manufactured outside the USA with strict quality design specifications from the USA company that wholesales the products.

Are the other products you offer, besides mailboxes, made in the USA?

Yes!  Almost all of the products offered by USMadeMailboxes are manufactured in the USA and that is noted on the product page.  If the product page does not say "Made in the USA", then the product is namufactured outside of the USA with strict quality design specifications from the USA company that wholesales the products.

Could you tell me HOW the HeavyBilt mailbox post is mounted to the ground?

There are instructions included with the post.  Installation is straightforward and the so not slide over a wood post.  These are very sturdy heavy gauge extruded aluminum posts.  GDM Mailbox Company, which makes the posts, designed it so that a post extension goes into the ground about 16-18 inches, and then the main part of teh post body slide over the extension and is bolts to the post extension.  The post extension is included with the post.  It is recommended that after digging the hole with a post digger and placing the post so that it is in the correct position required by the USPS, use a dry instant post mix concrete to back-fill around the post extensions.  This way you will have a concrete set post and you won't have to prop the post while wet concrete dries.
